REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Ali Arc Industries is a successful Wanganui based company built around family values, such as trust and integrity, and taking great pride in what it does, says company general manager Haig Elgar. The company, started in 1990, is the original business that Bartley Group Holdings built its success on. It has several parts to the business: manufacturing nudge bars, bull bars and supplying the transport industry with replacement truck bumpers. The company also manufactures any item requested out of aluminium including bike stands, chairs, forklift elevated work platforms and more. “At Ali Arc it’s about quality product produced by true artisans who bend, shape and weld metal,” says Haig. “On our truck bumpers the initial of the fabricator who made it is stencilled in. That personal attention to detail is why our product is so good.” Haig says innovation has been a strength of Ali Arc since the beginning and it is always developing new products for the latest makes and models of light commercial vehicles to hit the New Zealand market. In the last few months the company has made a whole range of accessories for the 2020 Isuzu D Max, the 2021 Toyota Hilux and the Mazda BT50 Ute. Haig says that Ali Arc has a dedicated Expertise and experience from Ali Arc design and development team boasting around 45 years combined expertise. “Each Ali Arc product has been designed exclusively for every make and model to ensure they both look good and are it for purpose. Whether you are on the farm, own a leet, have a few company vehicles, or operate in the transport industry, we have one of the largest ranges of quality New Zealand accessories,” says Haig. Proud to be known as New Zealand manufacturers, the team of 25 sta works from the Whanganui workshop, making Ali Arc one of the city’s largest employers. It also utilises the services of local suppliers where possible including McDonald Equipment, Spectrum and Elite Mechanical and Engineering. Ali Arc manufactures and installs product locally. Nationally this is delivered through a trusted supplier network of dealerships. Personal service is important and customers always deal direct with one of the Ali Arc team. Haig says that is one reason why Ali Arc continues to prosper in Wanganui and the vision for Ali Arc is big. “Our people are committed more than ever to see the company grow and continue to be a huge part of New Zealand light commercial and truck industries.”
