REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Packaging Systems for the Mineral Industry Rural and City. Australia and New Zealand-wide. Filling | Closing | Conveying | Palletizing | Wrapping/hooding | Consumables & Servicing PROUD TO PARTNER WITH: Aurora Process Solutions concentrate on a few key industrial market segments for their specialized bulk packaging systems. Whether you manufacturer fertilizer, cement, grain and seed products, stockfeed or building materials they’ll design, build and service the equipment needed to take your raw product and turn it into a pallet full of closed bags, wrapped and ready for transport, or package it into a one ton bulk bag ready for delivery if that’s what you prefer. For a client such as Blue Paci c Minerals they do both, having built the machinery needed to meet their speci c requirements and o ering a one stop shop by also providing the consumables needed to see the process through. “A client like Blue Paci c Minerals comes to us wanting to put their product into 25 kg bags, then put it on a pallet and wrap that pallet to contain the load safely. We design up the process and then manufacture the equipment and install it. Essentially we set their packaging system up ready to use,” says Braden Goddin, head of Aurora’s sales and marketing team. “We also provide preventive maintenance and a full range of packaging consumables.” Blue Paci c Minerals take the valves which enable their bags to be lled by a “valve-packer”. “It’s a pretty neat piece of kit, “says Braden. “Their product is quite dusty, so we used valve packing technology which is quite fascinating to Competent, sought-after design: Aurora Process Solutions watch. The machine blows the product into the premade bags through a valve in the side of the bag which is then sealed o . Whereas if we poured it into the top there’d be too much dust which wastes product and is a health and safety concern. It’s a really fast, dust-free lling system.” For Aurora Process Solutions it’s all part of their mission to provide the best return on investment they can for their clients. “We’re always very careful to run the numbers with our clients to make sure they stack up before we embark on a project,” says Braden. Aurora’s competence designing automated systems is increasingly sought after, thanks in part to the impact of the global pandemic. Generally the automated systems work alongside sta to make their jobs safer and more e cient, and industries like fertilizer or stockfeed, are increasingly recognizing their value. The pressure put on the manual labour market by the pandemic forcing sta to stay home has meant more and more players in the manufacturing industries have turned to automation to help solve their problem. Aurora Process Engineering have been going for 20 years and in the last two years have grown more than in the previous 10. “A lot of the growth is into Australia too. Like Blue Paci c Minerals we’re exporting a lot and we enjoy working alongside a good Kiwi business.’
