This development repurposes land that had remained vacant for decades. “We’re reusing existing materials and redeveloping the land through earthworks, groundworks and construction management for what is slated for use as a waste management facility,” says Nathan. Another major undertaking is the Kenakena Flood Relief Project in Kapiti, a stormwater infrastructure upgrade designed to mitigate one in 50 and one in 100-year flood risks to Paraparaumu communities. Additionally, Torlesse plays a key role in iwi-led housing developments with Te Āhuru Mōwai in Porirua, ensuring safe and sustainable housing solutions for local communities. “We provide geotechnical assessments and foundation designs for their housing developments, contributing to long-term, community-driven development,” adds Nathan.
