"I've worked on several Raglan Food Co. projects, and the team there is brilliant to work with," says Stu Elston, Senior Process Engineer at Therma lo. "In our project debriefs, we consistently note the high calibre of the operators when we commission new equipment and train them on it." Therma lo is an innovative design team working in the Dairy, Plant-Based Alternatives, Juice, Food Processing and Pharmaceutical industries, working predominantly in New Zealand, Australia, the Paci ic Basin and Asia. It specialises in the design, build, install, and commissioning of a range of equipment for these industries including; chilling, heating, illing and storage systems as well as process equipment. Therma lo also has in-house industrial electrical capability through their brand ‘Electra lo’, a team of industrial Electrical and Automation technicians. Therma lo also o ers scheduled maintenance and service support to ensure ongoing plant reliability after project completion. The team at Therma lo are proud to have been involved with Raglan Food Co. for over seven years. "As food and beverage process engineers, our role is focused on the production side - improving plant e iciency, capacity and reliability, but none of that works without dedicated and engaged sta to operate the plant," says James Conwell, Project Technical Manager. Thermaflo: Innovation and experience "It's great to see Tesh and Seb, and the wider team, recognised for the e ort they put into their sta development and retention." Therma lo has been involved in a series of projects at Raglan Food Co. to expand production. The irst step was taking the start-up production process out of a local commercial kitchen and into a larger capacity process, which was built into a repurposed shipping container with a bespoke and hygienic it-out. This involved scaling up not just the equipment, but the actual production process as well. This was to ensure each batch of product was consistent, and customers got the same taste and experience they expected each time. As the business grew and orders increased, a capacity upgrade was needed, so Therma lo's process engineers got to work designing a brand new production plant to operate at a larger scale and with greater lexibility. This became the new yoghurt process line for Raglan Food Co's green ield plant. With over 30 years of experience in designing, fabricating, and installing process plants across the liquid food industry, Therma lo delivered each project in-house. Therma lo engineers designed the process, and the mechanical and electrical design teams - comprised of stainless steel fabricators and industrial electricians - built and integrated the equipment, and the automation teamprogrammed the HMI (Human Machine Interface). After each build was complete, a Therma lo team completed the installation, commissioning and operator training on-site.
