It was great to have that moment of recognition and to be able to celebrate it with our team. “We’ve got a lot coming in this year that would fit the awards criteria even better for difficulty so there’s definitely that desire to have another crack next year, particularly as we won in the same category a few years ago.” Mills Albert supplies rock to various projects in the lower North Island. Currently, the team is supplying 25,000 tonnes of rock to Te Pūwaha, the Whanganui Port revitalisation project, (to repair and revamp the port’s North Mole). Mills Albert works in partnership with a Taranaki quarry to source rock materials. Other significant current projects include working with Waka Kotahi and Higgins at the Auraki Stream Road Retreat, located on SH4 out of Whanganui and also the Greater Wellington Regional Council (GWRC) climate resilience projects in Te Awa Kairangi and in the Wairarapa. 12 Ihakara St, Paraparaumu | (04) 298 5716 | www.kapitihire.co.nz LOCALLY OWNED & OPERATED S I N C E 1 9 9 9 Kapiti Hire is proud to be associated with Mills-Albert Limited and recognised as their preferred supplier of quality rental equipment on the Kapiti Coast.
