There is a good solid client base that has been built up solely on word-of-mouth. “We work on the theory that we really look after our clients.” “In 40 years, I haven’t had to advertise. All our work is through word of mouth. They’ve seen our work and know what quality we aim for.” He had a good team on the ground that was key to the company’s success. “People say how do you employ that many people, but we seem to get good people all the time.” The company employs up to four apprentices at a time, which Peter says works well, and there are two workers in vans that take care of the smaller jobs such as painting and gib stopping.
