When The Terraces stages at Seven Oaks development in Kinloch were launched at King’s Birthday weekend the response was strong with the majority of sections selling out immediately. The Terraces stages will eventually comprise 40 lifestyle blocks and a selection of urban lots ranging in size from 899m2 to 1392m2. “The size of the lifestyle blocks at 1.5ha each is something quite new and different for the area,” says Helen Webb from Bayleys Taupo. “The majority of the sites have good lake and mountain views and are still part of Kinloch village so they have town water supply. A lot of people have been waiting for these and many of the purchasers were locals wanting to upgrade to something better.” There are still opportunities in Seven Oaks as well. Stages one to six have been completed and Bayleys is now marketing stage seven. This is named ‘Otaketake Drive’ due to its proximity to the DOC reserve of the same name. Situated on the western side of the development, Otaketake Drive sits quietly sheltered off the Seven Oaks Drive twin carriageway and surrounded by native bush, says Helen. Titles have been issued and lots are available for immediate purchase. Sections are comparatively large and range from 800sqm to over 1,330sqm. Establishing trusted working relationships is a focus for MMC Law Advice that matters to help streamline projects and find solutions. This involves a pre-development meeting with key parties to identify what issues may arise in each particular development and smooth the pathway. “In developments, multiple parties are involved, and we all want to work well together. Good communication and liaising closely means we are all working towards the same objective.” MMC Law assists a variety of clients in this area from those subdividing a small section through to complex unit title developments.
