Nestled between DOC native reserves and bordering Lake Taupo, Helen says that Seven Oaks is a truly unique subdivision, offering stunning building sites with bush surrounds and framing spectacular mountain and lake views. She says the developer has delivered something truly special and the goal is to create eco corridors through the development for birds and native wildlife. There is an active pest eradication programme on the site run in conjunction with local Kinloch residents. Seven Oaks includes reserves, walking and cycling trails and borders a scenic reserve that includes the K2K section of the Great Lake Mountain Bike Trail, one of the 18 great rides which make up Nga Haerenga – the New Zealand Cycle Trail network. Located just 15 minutes drive from Taupo the small settlement of Kinloch, where the development is located, is growing and includes a dairy, cafes, locals’ golf course and the prestigious Kinloch Club, overlooking the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course, ranked by Golf Digest Magazine amongst the Top 100 courses in the world outside the USA. The development block was once owned by Sir Keith Holyoake who first gave it the name Seven Oaks, which has been retained out of respect for the land’s history. Seven Oaks is being developed by Phil Rielly and Bruce Bartley, who also created the LochEagles development in Kinloch. Bruce has led the creation of more than 300 high quality sections and Phil, a chartered civil engineer by profession, has managed the creation of more than 900 high quality sections throughout New Zealand. Helen says the developers actively support the wider community and have donated one of the sections in stage one Seven Oaks for a new kindergarten. The community is busy fund raising for the construction at the moment with Seven Oaks a driving force. Seven Oaks is being exclusively marketed by Bayleys Taupo. Helen says sites are fully protected with detailed and proven covenants designed to ensure protection of the future value of each home. She says with a large number of homes already completed and residents living in Seven Oaks a real sense of community is forming. Three show homes are in Seven Oaks from Bayline Construction, Jennian Home and Landmark Homes. There is the possibility of future expansion of Seven Oaks with future stages.
