B y providing the best home for the best agents by default Wellington’s Lowe & Co Realty provides the best service to its sellers and buyers, says company director Craig Lowe. “Our strategy has always been not to train new agents but to be a place where already great agents can become even better. We aim to employ the industry’s top 10% of sales staff so we offer our buyers and sellers the agents we believe are the best in the business,” he says. Lowe & Co Realty was started in 2013 by a group of agents lead by Craig, who has been selling homes for two decades and sells more real estate in a single year than many sales- people do in an entire career. All were highly successful in their own right and were seeking a new adventure and challenge. Since those early days when Lowe & Co Re- alty had just four agents and one administra- tion personnel it has quickly grown to a team of over 40 agents and 14 administration staff. Craig says the dedicated agent concierge (admin) team provides the agents with backup and support including marketing, prospecting, advertising, database management, reporting, managing staff, and cashflows. This leaves the agents free to do what they do best - working closely with the many buyers that have enquired or come through a client’s home. “Our ratio of admin to sales is 1:2 when the industry average is about 1:10. We think of our agents as specialists rather than generalists. “Our agents are really good at doing the things they should be doing and focused on those things. “That enables them to grow their business fast and supply a better service to their cus- tomers, and that’s attractive to high perform- ing sales people.” It’s just one innovation that has set Lowe & Co Realty apart. Another is its unique take on marketing, which sees distinctive, quirky bill- boards around Wellington brand the company as different from the rest. This also spills over into the marketing Lowe & Co Realty agents undertake for clients to help their properties shine above all others resulting in outstanding outcomes. Lifting standards within the industry has seen Lowe & Co Realty become Wellington’s Karen Phelps fastest growing real estate company placing 22nd overall in the 2018 Deloitte Fast 50 Awards in 2018. The company has also diversi- fied into property management, which was a natural fit and progression. Craig says the fact that the company culture focuses around the agents being a ‘family’ has set it apart. This family spirit is supported by ensuring all team members are nurtured and trained, have a sense of purpose and career progres- sion, and most of all everyone has fun doing what they are best at doing. “We spend as much time with each other as we do with our own families.
