Russell Fredric “We have a great team who support us and who have great attention to detail from design, to manufacturing through to the installation.” • KITCHENS • LAUNDRIES • BATHROOMS • RECEPTIONS • HOSPITALITY 14 Bisley Street, Palmerston North 06 355 5971 www.counterconcepts.co.nz Proud to support Rabbitte Joinery With nine industry awards achieved during past three years alone, Rabbitte Joinery is proving to be in a class of its own. Owners Greg and Trudi Rabbitte established the business in 2006 with Greg being its sole worker and with steady growth the company has now grown to employ 13 staff. Based in Hawke’s Bay, Rabbitte Joinery has clients throughout New Zealand. Trudi and her team of designers work with clients to achieve their dream space, while Greg takes care of the manufacturing side, but it is very much a team effort, Trudi says. “We have a great team who support us and who have great attention to detail from design, to manufacturing through to the installation.” They were ecstatic about the recognition Rabbitte Joinery achieved in this year’s National Kitchen & Bathroom Association (NKBA) awards. The categories they were recognised in were Distinction in Design $30k, Distinction in Design $60k, the regional award and the designers of NKBA Bronze award (DNKBA) “We were amazed, that we have achieved this. We were also very proud of our team member Sharon Dorman who won the DNKBA bronze award, it was her first time entering. Part of Rabbitte Joinery’s quality focus is having a large degree of control of the process which includes the business having its own installers and a paint shop. “We have a great team in the office and the designers take real pride in what they do. It’s important for the team to hear what the client really wants, and also what their feedback of suggested designs is, so we can create a space that perfectly reflects them and their lifestyle.” The design process starts with an initial consultation to gain a thorough understanding of the client’s wants and needs for the space, whether it is a kitchen, bathroom or another area, followed by obtaining measurements on-site or from plans. “From here we work through concept plans which give an understanding of the space and its potential. Each design is tailored to meet your lifestyle and specific requirements.” With kitchens today almost invariably being open plan, their design is about much more than functionality; the ideal kitchen also needs to fit aesthetically and seamlessly into the adjacent living spaces. But there’s more to a well-designed kitchen than just good looks; it needs to be backed by top quality manufacture to ensure it works well and lasts the distance. “Our focus is on producing quality.” Rabbitte Joinery’s staff can help clients navigate the huge range of materials and tapware options to achieve a design that is uniquely personal. Trudi and the team aim to create amazing spaces for their clients that they will love. “The focus is not on winning awards, so to be recognised in this way is huge.” “The best thing is knowing that your client loves the space that you have designed for them.”
