With a clear span of 45 metres, the building is the largest clear-span timber structure in New Zealand and uses LVL rafters and purlins. The very impressive warehouse was a Finalist in the 2023 Timber Design Awards in the Hybrid Building category. Other construction related companies who have either built or are in the process of building include MCL Construction, a well-known Hawke’s Bay construction company; Lattey Group, a manufacturer of pre-cast concrete panels; Hawke’s Bay Homes, a company that builds relocatable homes; and Venta, an aluminium joinery company. Resource consent has also been granted for a new factory for Roofing Industries, who have expanded their operations in Hawke’s Bay.
