REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT On time – on target Booth’s Logistics Flat Deck division has been working with Eastbridge to deliver much needed parts for the bridge being built to restore connection to the Coromandel community on State Highway 25A after the devastation caused by Cyclone Gabrielle. Working in tandem with Eastbridge, a specialist in steel bridging, Booth’s Flat Deck division has undertaken the monumental task of transporting 18-metre beams between Hawkes Bay to Auckland. The magnitude of this undertaking is not to be underestimated, as each beam can take up to three hours to load. "We are committed to delivering on time and communicating e ectively with our clients, especially important on such projects as this," says Booth’s transport planner, Nicole Gillespie. Booth’s Flat Deck division, with its nationwide reach and the capacity to transport both small and large loads, has experienced substantial growth in the last 18 months. "We've developed an experienced team with state-of-the-art equipment,” says Roman. “We boast a leet of quad lat deck semi-trailers, all permitted to carry up to 48 tonnes. Additionally we o er two 15-metre step deck trailers and two 23-metre long extended trombone trailers." The division’s services include loading and unloading using cranes and forklifts, catering to freight up to 29 metres in length and payloads of up to 28 tonnes. The services extend from door-to-door solutions to interisland freight services, ensuring seamless dispatch and distribution. Booth’s Flat Deck Division is just one facet of the larger company's impressive growth story. In the last ive years, Booth’s has seen remarkable expansion, now boasting over 400 trucks and a workforce of more than 800.
