The boutique company led by builder Josh Stewart works on a small number of jobs at a time with Josh taking care of the entire process, including being on the tools, from start to finish. Josh, who has 14 years building experience, started building straight out of school and takes a modern and fresh approach to kitchen and bathroom renovation. He started his own building company in 2014 but quickly devel- oped a passion for kitchens and bathrooms and decided to specialise, rebranding as Form & Dwell in 2018. Right from first contact Josh leads the client through the process to create their dream kitchen or bathroom. Instagram is a favourite method for finding new ideas, showcasing their work and for showing clients possi- bilities. Josh and the client then decide on the favoured products and Josh goes about designing the space before constructing and project managing the job from start to finish. “Our approach is highly collaborative. We listen first and work closely with our clients and partners to explore concepts, craft surfac- es and build environments that inspire and el- evate the everyday. We put in a lot of time up front to make sure the client really gets what they want and this care and thought results in fantastic outcomes,” says Josh. Josh offers a keen eye for design and is highly knowledgeable on the best materials to use for both function and visual appeal. Karen Phelps Form & Dwell is a small team – just Josh and his apprentice Blaze Tito-Wyatt, they also utilise the skills of a trusted group of subcon- tractors and has a close working relationship with his trusted team who each excel in their own trade. All of this means the build process progresses smoothly and is a stress-free expe- rience for his clients. Form & Dwell also offers popular ‘refresh’ packages for people who may not require a total renovation. The packages have been designed to freshen up spaces in the home at a more accessible cost, bringing a cosmetic and sustainable approach to the space. “By adding new fittings and updating the space we can completely change the feel with- out tearing down walls and starting again,” says Josh. The packages include an in home or virtual consultation to discuss and design the re- freshment of the space, full project manage- ment, from first point of contact through to completion and high quality products and materials with a range of styles and finishes to choose from. Josh says he loves kitchen and bathroom renovations as every project brings specific challenges to solve. Josh says that 2020 was a busy year and 2021 is shaping up to be just as hectic with a number of projects underway and more due to commence. Josh aims to remain small enough to ensure his clients continue to benefit from his incredi- bly personal approach. “I just want to be the best and provide a product that people deserve. At Form & Dwell our ethos is to add value and functional beau- ty to every space.”
