Sunnycourt Homes builds a lot of new homes for people relocating from larger centres, with Doug saying they see in Taupō the same things he saw when he moved there back in 1995. “People have maybe had their holidays here, and when they find themselves in a retirement situation, they can think of no better place to live.” In his 31st year in the construction industry, Doug aims to stay positive and stay connected with the community, He wants Sunnycourt Homes to remain profitable and says this will require a certain amount of throughput, and he already has three big projects lined up for 2025.
