T from page 12 REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT PGL Group/APL Window Solutions “We felt that we were building this building for the next 50 years and it needed to deliver both from an efficiency level and be an enjoy- able environment for our staff,” says Craig. Based upon an enduring 25-year relation- ship built on mutual trust Foster Construction was given the task of bringing vision to life, “They have built all our commercial build- ings for the 25 years we have been building our own premises. They understand what we want and they deliver a product that we’re very happy with.” Perfectly located on the edge of SH1 and Victoria Road interchange, the building is the first of three intended to be built by PGL on a 50 hectare site purchased by the company, utilising 25 hectares for its own campus. “The remaining elements of the PGL Group are currently spread over four separate sites in Te Rapa, and the intention is to build two new buildings and relocate those elements to the new industrial site to be within the same campus. The intention is to develop the remaining 25 hectares into an industrial subdi- vision to support growth within the area.” The location will enable direct access from the expressway and give PGL’s own logistics company the benefit of direct access from the factory into Auckland, south and into the Bay of Plenty, supplying product to customers throughout New Zealand. “We could not have found a better site to be honest,” says Craig.
