46 | Nga Roto Estate sections in demand T Karen Phelps The next stage at Nga Roto Estate will shortly be released with section sizes ranging between 450sqm to 1000sqm. Taupo - Carrus Corporation REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT N ga Roto Estate sections have flown out the door since lockdown with around 200 pre-title lots sold in 2020 and 2021 keeping a similar pace. Carrus is the developer of Nga Roto Estate and Carrus managing director Scott Adams says the Taupo market has been frantic as it has all over the country. In 2020, Carrus sold sections by tender, selling well over the reserve price, he says. “Nga Roto Estate is currently the only mas- ter planned subdivision at this particular end of Taupo. It is close to the lake, airport and other amenities so it’s been very popular with builders, local private buyers and out of town buyers wanting to relocate here.” he says. The first sections from Nga Roto Estate were released to the market in 2017 and upon completion Nga Roto Estate will comprise around 650 lots. Around 350 lots have now been sold and Scott says Carrus will continue to release the remaining sections at a pace to meet market demand. Conveniently located off Lake Terrace, set back off the road within great proximity to future retail convenience stores, Three Mile Bay boat ramp, good schooling and recreation facilities including on Lake Taupo itself, Scott says the next stage will shortly be released with section sizes ranging between 450sqm to 1000sqm. All sections within Nga Roto Estate come with covenants registered to each title to pro- tect each landowner’s investment, says Scott. Carrus was formed by Sir Paul Adams in April 1990 and over the past 30 years, Carrus has developed and sold over 8,000 residential sections and built and managed many com- mercial buildings. Based in Tauranga and organised in a tightly focused team, Scott says that Carrus is acknowledged as one of the Bay of Plenty’s regional leaders in property development and management. “Carrus is an experienced land developer with an established track record having prov- en expertise in planning and design, project management, sales and marketing, and all aspects of financial management. “The list of successful developments to date reflect a genuine capability to provide inno- vative professional management of every de- Talk to us today, the feature profile experts Phone: 03 983 5500 waterfordpress.co.nz PROFILE YOUR PROJECT... velopment from planning and design through to landscaping and features to ensure there is a quality product which, most importantly, benefits the end section purchaser,” explains Scott. He says it is partly this trusted reputation that has seen Nga Roto Estate sections selling quickly. The next stage is due for imminent release so people are advised to register ex- pression of interest via ngarotoestate.co.nz Presently Carrus has several large resi- dential developments in progress including Papamoa Junction in Tauranga and Aotea and Kenepuru Landing, both in Porirua City, north of Wellington. Scott says that Aotea (aoteaporirua.co.nz) has been hugely popular and the 246ha de- velopment is in its last stages of construction comprising residential, commercial, retire- ment village and recreation areas. Located in the heart of Porirua City, Ke- nepuru Landing (kenepurulanding.co.nz ) is close to schools and colleges, public transport and walking links, mall shopping and the future transmission gully roundabout making it perfectly positioned for those who demand accessibility, convenience and affordability, says Scott. Papamoa Junction is located on the corner of Parton Road and Te Okurua Drive in Papa- moa and is now sold out with titles expected late 2021. The subdivision will consist of 43 sites rang- ing from high-end medium density housing to commercial units allowing for office and light industrial/trade supply.
