Matt Corleison, Managing Director of Design Builders – Taupo, says that special relationship is all about trust. “We always talk to clients about slowing down to speed up. Throughout design, speci- fication and pricing, we don’t want to rush the client through to a sales outcome because the build process won’t go smoothly. “If we can slow the client down and make sure there’s a full understanding of design, pricing and specifications, they can sit back, relax and allow the build to carry on. We don’t do any set plans. We tend to get clients looking for a home that is a little different. “We can still achieve a very conservative build budget, but those clients are just the people who also want something a bit differ- ent with a bit of thought put into design and some architectural flair.” Design Builders’ operating model combines the disciplines of architectural design with building craftsmanship, providing the custom- er with a seamless process without surprises. “We bring the capabilities of the builder and architect together. All Design Builders’ business owners are qualified builders, so you are not going to an outside architect to have your plans drawn up and then looking for a builder.
