In recent years it ’s had a resurgence which Gary believes was well overdue. “For a long time people thought the only choice was synthetic, they’d had it pushed to them so strongly as the latest, greatest thing. Once you start to explain the sustainability factor of wool: that it ’s a New Zealand made product; that it ’s easier to clean than nylon, and warmer than nylon with great insulation properties and much better fire resistance; you can help them better understand the product which helps them make an informed decision.” Generation Homes were already working with Flooring First Taupo when Sandra and Gary purchased the business and they continue to be a valued customer. “We do a lot of quality work with them,” says Gary. “They select nice products which gives us an opportunity to showcase our skills.
