Greenhaven Homes works closely with their architect and all homes are built on their site where construction systems have been standardised and forward planning ensures there is ample stock of materials on hand. “This gives us certainty when setting a price and build timeframe for our clients. It takes the complication out of the whole process.” Building homes from their set of standard plans to suit all situations and budgets, the company also offers a bespoke design and build option. Having the designer and builder on the same site means there is no possibility of miscommunication between the two. Onsite builds can also be undertaken in the Horowhenua/Kapiti areas. Very often, Todd says, homes have not been designed to make full use of the sun and one of the ways Greenhaven Homes ensures it is capturing and using as much of the sun’s energy as possible is in the use of thermal glazing and large window areas, inviting the sun in. Once a home is completed and transported to site, the company can then undertake all the service connections and siteworks prior to handing over the keys for a full turnkey service. “We work very hard here to ensure we always have the stock on hand to build uninterrupted and having several homes under construction at various stages ensures our builders always have work to carry on with.” Greenhaven build homes available for purchase from their site. The company has a staff of 30 including a painting and decorating branch and full Project Management/Contract administration teams.
