We boast a tight-knit team that collaborates to create durable, high quality designer homes.” T T Transportable experts - page 100 BUILDING Hamilton based builder Kiwi Designed Homes (KDH) has just moved into a new custom-built premise at Northgate Business Park in Horotiu. Company co-owner and director Steve Moore says it’s a big step and will result in an even better customer experience. “Previously we were operating over two locations so now everything is on the one site – modern offices, store, construction yard and show home,” explains Steve. “This creates build efficiencies, especially as we are now close to key suppliers such as Kiwi Timber Supplies. The results is that it ultimately makes things easier for our clients as they can see everything in one place.” The show home is the Kiwi three bedroom design – one of the most popular KDH concepts. “It’s perfect for those looking to build a family home, farm house or bach,” says Steve. “And spanning 123sqm it makes great use of the space.” The layout of the Kiwi offers open plan kitchen, dining, and lounge rooms with an added deck maximising indoor/outdoor flow. The master bedroom in this home features both a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite - with shower and toilet facilities. The second and third bedrooms also contain built-in wardrobes. The home includes separate bathroom, toilet and laundry facilities. The bathroom has both a shower and a bath and the laundry contains outdoor access Ross Ridley originally started KDH in the mid 2000’s. Steve, who has a background in quantity surveying in commercial construction, came on board in 2018 and now co-owns the company with Ross’ sons Blair and Drew. KDH undertakes both site builds in Hamilton, Raglan, down to Cambridge and over to Tahuna and specialises in transportable home options delivering anywhere in the North Island. Steve says the new concrete yard will make building transportable homes a breeze and also offers more room for storage of supplies so the company can increase output and capacity. “All our tradespeople are experienced, certified, and dedicated to the quality and attention they invest in constructing each home. “ We boast a tight-knit team that collaborates to create durable, high quality designer homes. At KDH we are committed to delivering a superior product, with an emphasis on making the entire construction process a stress-free experience for our customers.” Steve says that word of mouth referral is strong for KDH and as evidence two customers are currently building their fourth home with KDH. An additional nice touch is that with every KDH Home built the new owners receive their own sponsorship pack from Kiwi Encounter as KDH sponsor a kiwi chick for each client. “Our clients receive a pack with the history of their kiwi chick and a visit to Rainbow Springs in Rotorua. As passionate New Zealanders, KDH have been active supporters of Kiwi Encounter at Rainbow Springs since 2007.” KDH Kiwi Designed Homes Mitre 10Waihi are proud to be associated with WAIHI mitre10.co.nz
