I’ve always found them very good to work with.” Tim has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial property including valuation, land acquisition, land sales, property management and development management. After returning to New Zealand from Australia in 2010, he spent a decade with Wallace Development Company as their national property manager, then development manager for the lower North Island, working on projects for both national and international clients. Tim set up his business in Palmerston North as he has strong family ties to the Manawatū, where he grew up. Alongside his property development business, he manages farming interests and lives on a rural property with his young family at Beaconsfield, near Cheltenham north of Fielding. At time of writing, Mainfreight Whanganui was preparing to move into their new premises. Tim says there’s been good communication with the local Mainfreight team as the project has progressed, including regular site visits. “The feedback I’ve had has been very positive.” Tim says the new building’s design and layout is consistent with other modern office and warehouse developments, ensuring it will be able to meet a variety of industry needs well into the future. “Of course, Mainfreight has brought their own unique branding to it, including the distinctive Mainfreight colours and a pole out front with the Mainfreight globe on top.” Fitzherbert Property Group has a growing portfolio of completed developments in the Manawatū-Whanganui region.
