Building to meet the growing needs of the logistics and distribution sector across the lower North Island, has seen Homestead Construction closing in on a new high spec warehouse within the North East Industrial Precinct in Palmerston North. The seven-hectare development neighbours’ national companies like Foodstuffs, Woolworths, Fulton Hogan, Cable Price and freight forwarders. The 164 Setters Line large-format warehouse is the first of five builds planned for the industrial zoned land, near the airport and major road and rail transport links. The 3150sq. metre warehouse is the latest concrete panel and metal profile design and build from family-owned Homestead Construction, who have built a reputation for managing commercial and multi residential projects from concept to completion across the Horowhenua, Manawatu and greater Wellington regions. This latest project reinforces their position as a go-to partner for high-value industrial builds. “The North East Industrial Precinct helps address a shortage of industrial developments in the region and the Setters Line warehouse project is a client development for an anchor tenant within that precinct,” says Homestead Construction Design Project Manager, Paulette Stewart. Homestead Construction worked closely with the developer over several years to help deliver a project that meets the tenants operational and strategic goals. “Setters Line warehouse is a smart, high-stud, clear-span facility designed for efficiency and built for logistics operations. The purpose-built logistics warehouse is fire protection sprinklered and includes a 500,000-litre water storage tank which will be available for all buildings on the development to use.
