McInnes Construction has built a solid reputation for precision crafts- manship and reliability, in the almost five years it has been providing residential new build and renovation services throughout the Kapiti Coast, Hutt Valley and greater Wellington regions. Founded by Licensed Building Practitioner Scott McInnes, who has over 15 years in the industry, the business specialises in both full-service new builds and renovations, plus labour-only construction for leading group builders. Originally from New Plymouth and raised in Lower Hutt, Scott chose to settle on the Kapiti Coast over a decade ago, drawn by its potential for building growth amongst its burgeoning local communities. “We do new builds and renovations, as well as a fair amount of labour -only contracts for A1 Homes, Classic Builders, and Signature Homes,” he says. McInnes Construction has been active in the growing Manu Park subdivision in Waikanae township, having built eight new homes within the development, and a couple more in the planning. A recent three-bedroom, one bathroom home with a double garage is the latest example, currently listed for sale through Classic Builders, and an excellent example of Scott’s signature blend of practical layout and clean, modern finishes. “This is clad in cedar vertical shiplap weatherboard and a second home we’ve recently completed in Manu Park, is clad in James Hardie linear and vertical weatherboard. Very smart looking.” Scott and his small, skilled team including two apprentices and a rotating crew of trusted subcontractors, focus on doing the job right. Scott’s team is known for solving tricky build details, maintaining high standards across every stage and providing clear communication throughout. “We’ve got a good eye for detail and striving to be one of the go-to labour only contractors in Paraparaumu with a proven track record of delivering quality new homes.” One of the first builds as a new company for McInnes Construction, was a designer home for Scott’s parents at Waikanae Beach designed by Design Network Architecture of Lower Hutt. Replacing an old beach house on the site, the new 300 sq. metre, two storey home includes four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a three and half car garage. “I built that with Dad when I formed the company and it’s a beautiful home with polished concrete floors, and a striking, honed brick wall running floor to ceiling through the entrance,” says Scott. The interior showcases an open staircase with glass balustrade. The dream home includes alfresco outdoor living areas, one with cantilevered roof cover. The build is both low-maintenance and high-impact, with textured concrete exterior cladding and schist stone elements. Another project that showcases McInnes Construction’s capability is a two-storey extension in central Paraparaumu. The original 1960s home was gutted and transformed into a modern open-plan living space with new windows, doors, and a full reline. The complex structural work, involving steel beams, columns, and innovative solutions for lifting beams under a second-storey deck. Whether you’re a developer, group home builder, or homeowner with a vision, McInnes Construction are ready to deliver new residential, renovations and alterations that are built well, from start to finish. “We’ve got a good eye for detail and striving to be one of the go-to labour only contractors in Paraparaumu with a proven track record of delivering quality new homes.” YOUR RELIABLE ROOFING TEAM New Roof Roof Upgrade Roof Inspection Emergency Roofing Proud to be specialists in metal roofing, serving the vibrant and windy Greater Wellington region.
