| 35 REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Te Whatu Ora - Taranaki: Leighs Construction - Project Maunga Alpha Interiors is about to start a signi icant 18-month contract at Project Maunga Stage 2, the New East Wing Building (NEWB), a 20,000m2, six-storey building housing many of Taranaki Base Hospital’s acute clinical services. Alpha Interiors general manager Clayton Nelson says that the project will see around 80 Alpha Interiors sta on site at peak demonstrating the capabilities of the company to deliver large-scale projects. Subcontracting to Leigh Construction, Alpha Interiors will complete a full interior itout including plasterboard linings and inishing, aluminium partitioning and suspended ceilings. Alpha Interiors has done multiple similar hospital projects in the past including at Waikato, Whakatane and Christchurch hospitals. Alpha Interiors was founded in 1992 and operates throughout New Zealand in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown Lakes and Dunedin. It is proudly 100% New Zealand owned by the management team that run the business. Alpha Interiors o ers clients services involving the supply and installation of steel stud framing, aluminium partitioning systems, two way exposed suspended ceiling systems, concealed metal grid suspended ceiling systems, feature wall and ceiling panelling, acoustic wall and ceiling panelling, plasterboard linings and stopping, door installation and inishing lines, Korok ire and acoustic systems and insulation. Clayton says the aim on the NEWB Delivering on large-scale projects project is to employ as many local contractors as possible meaning some great opportunities for people to get their foot in the door with Alpha Interiors.
