Durham Property Investments T T Karen Phelps Lynley Park shapes future of Omokoroa As Lynley Park approaches its completion, the final stage, Stage 7, is under construction. This stage comprises nine sloping sections with flat building platforms, offering spectacular views, DEVELOPMENT Lynley Park subdivision has emerged as a transformative force, leaving an indelible mark on the once sleepy harbourside village of Omokoroa. According to developer Phillip Palmer from Durham Property Investments, it was the first reticulated subdivision in the region and has paved the way for other innovative developments. “It’s put Omokoroa on the map as we’ve marketed the region and subdivision. We are proud to have been a part of introducing New Zealanders to beautiful Omokoroa,” he says. Lynley Park, aptly named after the acclaimed Lynley Park Pedigree Jersey Stud established in 1941, is a fully serviced residential subdivision set against the backdrop of the Tauranga Harbour. Phillip says the development is not just about housing; it’s about crafting a lifestyle that harmonises with the natural beauty of the surroundings. Large sections with breathtaking views provide the perfect canvas for residents to build their dream homes. The development, strategically located a short drive from Tauranga city, represents an ideal lifestyle choice, says Phillip. “The larger lots, most exceeding 800 square metres and many over 1000 square metres, echo the Kiwi dream of living on a quarter-acre plot with magnificent views over the harbour, Motuhoa, and Matakana Islands,” he says. As Lynley Park approaches its completion, the final stage, Stage 7, is under construction. This stage comprises nine sloping sections with flat building platforms, offering spectacular views, says Phillip. Set to be released to the market in early autumn these sections range from around 800sqm to 1700sqm. Some of the larger sites incorporate native plantings. Phillip says the lifestyle-centric approach of Lynley Park has resonated with residents, creating a thriving community that transcends the conventional definition of suburban living. The development has not only elevated Omokoroa’s real estate landscape but has also instilled a sense of identity and belonging among its residents. With a natural boundary formed by the Tauranga harbour, he says Omokoroa offers a range of facilities and services for residents of all ages. The peninsula’s rich amenities include many pre-school care facilities, Omokoroa Point School and a proposed new college. A medical centre, dentist and pharmacy and numerous health practitioners cater to health needs, ensuring the well-being of residents. “The Omokoroa Boat Club is a favourite and with many cafes and eateries (including seaside dining), most tastes and occasions are catered for. And for people’s grocery needs there are dairies and a Fresh Choice supermarket as well as roadside stalls for seasonal produce.” For the more active there are a couple of gyms and fitness clubs in the community, indoor and outdoor bowls and the Omokoroa golf course, situated on the edge of the Tauranga Harbour, provides a picturesque setting for socialising, says Phillip. Coastal walkways around the peninsula link public reserves, offering stunning views of the harbour and Matakana Island. Bike trails along the waterways eventually lead right to Tauranga. The two hectare historic Gerald Crapp Reserve is a testament to the community’s commitment to preserving its heritage, says Phillip. The thriving community also enjoys access to safe beaches and for younger residents there is a skate path and playground and newly renovated playground at the domain. A ferry service provides a link to Matakana Island and the busy boat ramp caters to fishing and other water enthusiasts. There are several churches in Omokoroa running various services and functions. Phillip says the growth spurred by the Lynley Park subdivision has snowballed with many new residential developments including those with a retirement focus. This growth has led to the recent development of The Village and the construction of a new town centre. As Lynley Park approaches the final stage Phillip already has his eyes set on the next venture. Abilene Estate, located in Eriksen Road in Te Awa, Napier, is poised to be a gated lifestyle village. Comprising 162 units, including standalone and duplex options, this development marks a new chapter in Napier’s real estate landscape. “What sets Abilene Estate apart is its unique approach,” says Phillip. “The development will be managed by a resident’s society and introducing the concept of freehold titles in a lifestyle village is a novelty for Napier.” Specialists in: • Block & Brick laying • Foundations • On-site block honing • Architectural concrete • Polished concrete - Bench tops and hearths • Block and concrete sealing • Licensed Sto applicator 021 0254 6583 mark@blackwolfmasonry.com Proudly Supporting Durham Property Investments
