| 79 CNC Pro Cut Unveils State-of-the-Art Facility CNC Pro Cut has taken a monumental leap forward with its freshly unveiled cutting-edge facility. The new premises, propelled by CNC Pro Cut's steady growth, not only symbolise a significant milestone but also promise an elevated level of service and e ciency, redefining the experience for all clients. CNC Pro Cut operates as a profile cutting shop or complete services centre where it can cut, press and fabricate if required. The company’s newest facility encompasses an impressive 3000 square metres of workshop space complemented by 600 square metres of offices, with the 2 shops now boasting a combined capacity of 5,600m2. This significant increase in floor area has resulted in a more streamlined workflow and the ability to handle larger projects. The introduction of new equipment, including the installation of a world-leading profile cutter made in New Zealand, signifies a pivotal step in catering to more significant and diverse engineering needs. Where we used to have lead times of two to three weeks, the new facility and equipment has reduced this, often to just two to three days. He emphasises that the addition of the new premises has been driven by a relentless commitment to quality and service and underscores the team's profound understanding of various industries. Notably, CNC Procut boasts a team where 70% of staff members have a minimum of a decade's worth of experience, while some have contributed their expertise for over two decades. “Our staff’s knowledge is second to none boasting experience and wisdom that can only come from time within the industry,” says Andrew. Andrew’s own journey in the profile and service centre industry dates back 23 years, marked by his bold decision to establish his own company, which evolved into CNC Procut. He was an engineer by trade for 17 years before starting CNC and says this gives CNC a unique perspective on customers’ projects. The company's growth and evolution are evident in its journey from a humble beginning with just two staff members and a CNC Oxy-Fuel cutter to its current stature with a diverse team of 40 specialised operators, qualified tradespeople and apprentices including Andrew’s son Ollie. The other important point of difference is the company’s ability to offer a specialised manufacturing process for sub assemblies and specific components. This evolved from customer demand and CNC was happy to oblige for all of its serviced industries. While the business footprint extends nationwide, with 95% of its work outside Hawkes Bay, CNC Pro Cut remains deeply connected to the local community. The region's operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and efficient transport services, from entities like Emerson Transport, contribute significantly to CNC Pro Cut’s operational success and helped it to cultivate a strong foothold in multiple sectors. A track and trace system enables customers to trace their job from time of order to when it’s put on the truck for delivery. Looking ahead the company foresees further expansion. The company is geared to construct another building within the next two years, in anticipation of a growing customer base. “We are proud to undertake jobs of all sizes – large and small,” says Andrew. “We plan to continue to offer an innovative and efficient service and create long-term working relationships with our clients.” CNC works with a vast range of industries including, mining, screening, forestry, transport, structural, agriculture, horticulture, viticulture, civil, mechanical, hydro, structural earthquake strengthening and many more.
