Minimal Design architectural studio o ers a variety of services to bring designs to life and its photo-realistic 3D architectural renders have been used on Talima Estate to help potential purchasers, and others involved in the project, to visualise the vision. “The best 3D architectural visualisations communicate critical information like depth and scale for a variety of stakeholders and viewers,” explains company multimedia manager Stan Janousek. “As hyper realistic and aesthetically pleasing images, they also represent powerful assets for sales and marketing departments giving consumers a realistic image of their potential new project before it’s even been built.” Minimal Designwas part of the Talima Estate project during themarketing stage, providing 3D rendering, animation, and virtual walkthroughs. The teambegan by creating a 3Dmodel of the terrain based on surveyor data and then proceeded to model the sections, roads, and public areas. “Since animation was an integral part of the export, we had to consider the entire area of Whitby and create a large contextual model. The inal step was to place animated assets such as people and vehicles, which was crucial in bringing the 3D scene to life. “After dozens of hours of rendering, we were able to provide the client with imagery and put together a inal animation complete with infographics, music, and detailed shots of what the inished development might look like,” says Stan. “We take pride in our ability to provide customized services for each project, no matter how big or small, and to deliver high-quality results that exceed our clients' expectations,” says Lukas. But that’s the way they like it. Working to bring housing development Talima Estate to life has had exciting technical and consenting challenges but working with “responsive, innovative, professional” people had made it achievable. Fiso Group tasked our Team to produce detailed design drawings and engineering reports, prepare civil contract documents and manage the procurement process. Envelope are soon to embark on managing the construction phase of the development and then complete the land transfer survey through to obtaining completed Titles for each new lot. Envelope Business Development Manager Kyle Dirse explained there was a need for vision for what would become a two-stage development of up to 120 homes. “The area has challenging terrain and due to the Whitby Link Road Teamwork, tough terrain at Talima Estate needing to be completed before we could access the site, we had a few curve balls to handle.” Flexibility and working to the luctuating housing market and increased construction costs was also vital to ensure the project lourished. And outside the box is where Envelope likes to operate. The engineering and surveying business has been drawing outside the lines since 2015 when it started in a former egg factory in Wellington. Envelope provides civil and structural engineering, surveying, land development and subdivision project management services. While the team has grown and changed, the values which anchored Envelope from the start have not. Working as a ‘tight team’, challenging, and supporting one another, as well as celebrating success is one key.
