Delivering stunning new renovations, alterations and new homes across the region for 20 years. From the inception of his career, Mike’s passion for building has been unwavering, honing his skills since becoming trade qualified at 20 years of age. With a penchant for dismantling and reassembling objects in his youth, Mike’s journey into construction was destined. Consciously kept small, Mikes team deliver consistent excellence on every project of any size. “I love to add value to every home I build to ensure it has great resale value for the owner. That’s my focus on every build – through high quality workmanship and detailed finishes.” Mike Campbell Construction offer a full design and build service through their collaboration with local architectural designers, ADP Design and ZJ Building. Mikes enthusiasm for achieving excellence on every build is apparent in his portfolio and his regional gold award from Registered Master Builders for the House of the Year 2021. “This was a pretty cool project in Tutakarae Road, Palmerston North,” says Mike, “I’ve done over 600 sq. metre homes before, but this was a grand house with seven bedrooms and large living spaces and high studs and raised ceilings with lots of interior detailing.” Mike Campbell Construction have completed a wide range of extensive home alterations since then adds Mike. “We take just as much care with a renovation as we do new builds,” he says as he nears the completion of a residential transformation at Pohangina Valley. This significant renovation of this early 2000’s three-bedroom plus rumpus, two storey family home in a rural setting has opened the home up to light and space and modernised it throughout. “This included installing large skylights and track lighting, big internal barn doors and beautiful oak flooring throughout, and double-glazed windows plus a large macrocarpa decking under cover.” Living, kitchen and dining spaces were opened up and redesigned for aesthetics and functionality. Mike and the team are also nearing the completion of a Lockwood Home renovation near Pahiatua Track. “This 170 sq. metre timber home was modernised throughout incorporating an internal courtyard into the home to add more living space,” says Mike. The renovation included the installation of two large 1100mm x 1100mm skylights and barn door for partitioning. The interior is clad in gib board and blends seamlessly with its natural timber charm. “Extensions to Lockwood timber homes are very do-able and in fact we’ve got another Lockwood home renovation coming up,” says Mike. Driven by innovation and fuelled by a passion for perfection, Mike Campbell Construction are trusted partners, dedicated to realising visions one exceptional project at a time.
