102 | Setting the bar for quality builds The Hawke’s Bay region continues to experience strong demand for architectural homes. Award-winning construction company JPW Builders has cemented its reputation as a trusted provider of architectural new builds and bespoke renovations across the Hawke’s Bay. Founded by director and registered master builder Jarrod Williams, the company has grown steadily since relocating from Auckland to Hawke’s Bay 15 years’ ago. The firm specialises in architectural new builds, bespoke renovations, and design-andbuild services, and has built a name for its dedication to quality. It’s come a long way from its beginnings when Jarrod started out contracting his services to housing companies in Auckland. “Then when we moved here things changed a bit and we got a few more opportunities,” Jarrod tells Business Central. “We took on bigger jobs and more risk. That’s how I got to where I am now.” Today, with two builders on the team working alongside Jarrod, the firm focusses on full-contract residential construction, mostly in the high-end space. From the outset, the vision has been to combine high-quality craftsmanship with open communication and trust,” Jarod says. “Every project we deliver is built on a foundation of transparency, collaboration, and attention to detail,” Jarrod says. A key to the firm’s success is keeping things simple, he says. “Not over thinking stuff and make it as simple as we can for the client. We try and keep it small and effective. “We’re straight up and honest and say how it how it is. We try not to have any hidden costs - it’s all upfront.” And this approach has been welcomed by clients. “People recommend us on the way we operate, get in there and get it done to a high standard. I say to my guys, I don’t mind if you spend more getting something right.” The firm has been recognised by industry peers through the Registered Master Builders House of the Year Awards. A 400sqm build in the Te Awanga vineyard country, Grape View, took out the East Coast regional award in the NZ$1.5–2 million category. Completed in just over a year, the home features cedar and Corten steel cladding, extensive glazing, and a central courtyard that maximises sun and views. The 400sqm three-level house in Westshore, was designed by Christchurch-based Three Sixty Architecture. “It’s quite a complex house right on the water ... (with an) underground basement,” Jarrod says. One challenge will be working through all the shingle to get the foundations in the ground. T T Rosa Watson The home features ceder kitchen and high ceilings, floor ceiling windows and door, and internal lift and cedar ceilings right the way through. “It’s a pretty tricky build but it’s come up good. It’s a pretty impressive house.” The company has built strong network of partners that are selected based on proven capability and professionalism, ensuring every stage of the build process meets the company’s exacting standards. “Our goal is not just to meet expectations but to exceed them. “By working with trusted subcontractors and maintaining a hands-on approach, we are able to deliver homes that are both structurally sound and architecturally distinctive.” The firm’s professionalism, organisation, and ability to provide practical solutions JPW Builders BUILDING during the build process sets it apart from others. The Hawke’s Bay region continues to experience strong demand for architectural homes, Jarrod says. “We are committed to building properties that reflect the lifestyle and character of this region, while upholding the highest standards of craftsmanship.” impressive plastering ltd 022 620 3571 | impressiveplastering@gmail.com Interior Plastering Specialists Plasterboard Installation / Finishing / Coving Fibrous Plaster Installation New builds / Alterations / Renovations Residential / Light Commercial • Commercial & Residential • Interior & Exterior Painting • Waterblasting • Paper Hanging George: 027 316 1303 Email: k.l.olsen@xtra.co.nz TRANSFORM YOUR SPACE GET A FREE QUOTE TODAY!
