For nearly 20 years, Waikanae-based Amnico Properties has been a key player in residential and commercial developments, with a significant contribution to aged care development in New Zealand. The privately owned company, established in the early 1990s, was the driving force behind the establishment of the Summerset group of retirement homes. It has since played a pivotal role in shaping residential, commercial, and healthcare infrastructure across New Zealand. In 2022 and 2023, the company completely gutted the site and redeveloped it into a state-of-the-art, two-theatre day hospital. Specialising in eye surgery and gastroenterology, the facility represents a significant contribution to the region’s healthcare infrastructure, providing accessible, specialised medical services to the local community. The project demonstrates the company’s commitment to quality and community, John tells Business Central. “Our focus has always been on creating developments that offer long-term value.
