Embracing diversity, agility and scalability, Verbrec brings together almost three decades of experience in engineering and operational services to the energy and infrastructure sectors. The Verbrec brand represents the company’s evolution, driving continued growth by leveraging emerging technologies and adaptability to remain at the forefront of an ever-changing industry. With capabilities that range from concept design to end-of-life management, Verbrec New Zealand is uniquely positioned to support and understand its client’s priorities in their energy transition goals. At the heart of the business lies an endless drive to offer its clients a better way of working. Founded on a culture of high performance and safety, Verbrec New Zealand continues to foster effective partnerships and alliances through a deep respect for its people. The company’s heritage stems back to 1998, when Andrew Smith formed engineering consultancy Independent Technologies Ltd (ITL) in the heart of New Zealand’s energy sector, New Plymouth. ITL became synonymous with strong engineering consultancy capabilities in the oil and gas sector, including pipelines, compression, and gas production plants. By 2010, the company had grown to a team of 150, and was purchased by ASX-listed Logicamms, giving it the benefit of shared resources and capabilities between New Zealand and Australia. Evolution continued with Logicamms merger with pipeline industry leaders OSD, and then rebranding as Verbrec in 2022, forming Verbrec New Zealand at same time. With New Plymouth continuing to be the seat of New Zealand’s operations, and Andrew Smith New Zealand’s engineering manager, the company operates across multiple regions, including Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, executing projects for organisations of all sizes. “Historically, our core industry sector is energy, working with companies like Todd Energy, First Gas, and Methanex,” says Verbrec New Zealand’s business development manager Greg Barley. “We’re now embracing the new age of energy, including geothermal, and working with the emerging technologies in this period of energy transition. Over the last five years, we’ve assisted a number of companies to become more energy-efficient by improving the processes in their plants, resulting in impressive savings in the fuel they use.” As a multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy, Verbrec New Zealand provides all facets of engineering including process engineering, mechanical engineering, civil and structural engineering, instrument and electrical engineering, and pipeline engineering, complemented with design and project management capabilities. “We also have an infrastructure team that does field work in pipelines. We constantly challenge ourselves to find smarter and better solutions for our clients: safer, lower cost, faster, lower risk and greater output. We work with our clients and measure ourselves on how much value our innovation adds.” Reflecting on what has underpinned the company’s success, Greg has no hesitation in saying it is the people who deliver for the company’s clients and go the extra mile to meet their needs. “We care for the needs of each other, as well as those of our clients and the communities in which we work. It’s Vebrec’s desire to provide fit-for-purpose solutions with a customer- focused approach.” Warner Construction is proud to be associated with Verbrec New Zealand Ltd General Engineering • Pipeline Construction • Geothermal • Bolt Tensioning www.warnerconstruction.co.nz Bell Block (Head Office) Taupo 06 754 8602 07 376 5753 adam@warnerconstruction.co.nz grant@warnerconstruction.co.nz 53 De Havilland Drive, Bell Block 4312 528 Rakaunui Road, Rotokawa 3378
