Civtec has provided upfront design solutions, built communal ibre networks and worked with individual home and business owners to deliver connectivity on the Ultrafast Fibre network. One of the larger projects the company delivered was the communal ibre network across the greater Waikato region in towns such as Tirau, Rotokauri, Te Kowhai, Temple View, Tamahere, Matangi, and Hautapu. This multi-million dollar project included the project management, design, civil and technical network construction, quality assurance testing and detailed as-built delivery. The project also included directional drilling, ibre splicing, network integration, inal as-built surveying and GIS upload. “Drawing on our experience in utility and telecommunication network builds, we are able quickly mobilise a project crew to deliver large, complex projects such as this,” says Civtec CEO Pele Tanuvasa. Started in 2014, Civtec is a New Zealand owned and operated infrastructure construction company specialising in the end-to-end delivery of both telecommunications networks, Civtec: Connecting the Waikato along with civil and utilities infrastructure. The company has been winning awards since its inception including being a inalist in the Safe365 Safest Place to Work awards, as well as its most recent success at the Westpac Waikato Business Awards where it picked up awards for Service Excellence, Business Growth and Strategy, and Business of the Year in 2020. Pele says Civtec is driven by customer experience, which has played a big part in the company’s success. The Civtec team is well supported and engaged and that results in high quality solutions for customers. “We work closely with our clients to ensure a positive customer experience. It’s about collaboration and innovation. At Civtec we work hard to be good at the things we do today as well as the things required for the future.” Civtec continues to work with Ultrafast Fibre Ltd to deliver network extensions, connect customers to the existing network, and help maintain the current network to a consistently high standard. Pele says Civtec is proud to play a pivotal part in delivering networks that help to improve the everyday lives of Kiwis. “We improve people’s lives through the connections we make, linking communities with the world around them. It’s always a highlight to see the smiles on peoples faces when we inish building networks and they are connected to their ibre for the irst time.”
