"We were delighted when Seb and Tesh asked us to help them grow and scale up their production," says James Conwell, Project Technical Manager, "It's been fantastic to watch the company go from strength to strength, expanding into new lavours and products, while still keeping the core of what makes Raglan Food Company special." With nearly 30 years of experience in designing, fabricating and installing process plants across the liquid food industry, Therma lo is well placed to work with Raglan Food Co. on solutions to scale up production capacity and e iciency. "Over the years, we've done considerable work in the dairy and fermented products space," Conwell says, "So the teamwere able to adapt this experience into a coconut yoghurt process." Therma lo has been involved in a series of projects at Raglan Food Co. to expand production. The irst step was taking the start-up production process out of a local commercial kitchen and into a bespoke process, built into a repurposed, fully hygienic shipping container. This involved scaling up not just the equipment, but the actual production process as well. This Helping Raglan Food Co to grow was to ensure each batch of yoghurt was consistent, and customers got the same taste and experience they expected each time. As the business grew and orders increased, Therma lo's process engineers got to work designing a brand new production plant to operate at a larger scale again and with greater lexibility. This became the new yoghurt process line for Raglan Food Co.'s green ield plant. Therma lo delivered each project in-house, utilising their mechanical and electrical design team, in-house workshop fabrication, and electrical team, all based in their Palmerston North workshop. After each build was complete, a Therma lo commissioning team completed the install, commissioning and operator training on-site. Therma lo has an innovative design teamworking in the dairy, juice, food processing and pharmaceutical industries, with work being predominantly in New Zealand, Australia, the Paci ic Basin and Asia. They specialise in the design, build, install and commissioning of a range of equipment for these industries including; chilling, heating, illing and storage systems as well as process equipment.
