A new purpose-built showroom brings Keppler vehicle sales, service and parts under the one roof. Under construction in Te Rapa, north Hamilton, the showroom, and workshop is a collaboration between Hamilton based architect Noel Jessop, local construction company Downey Construction, and Feathers Planning, resource consent specialists. The showroom’s new location brings the well-established and family run motor vehicle company into the vicinity of other new vehicle franchises and is a significant milestone in the growth of the company. “Keppler’s focus is on developing the automotive industry in New Zealand and providing families with safe, reliable, and affordable vehicles. We’ve been operating out of five separate locations as we have continued to grow with our new vehicle brands. We broke the soil for the new building in August last year and are set to open in September,” says co-director, Sean Keppler. “The new building has lots of architectural design details and materials such as coloursteel, cedar cladding and aluminium. We’ve a great relationship with Noel Jessop, and Downey’s have been really easy to work with, especially for a project of this size. It’s been a learning curve for our team but we have the right people around us to make it easy,” he says. The new showroom is a first for the company and the first purpose-built showroom for GWM and HAVAL in the country. The look of the new showroom has a distinctly Keppler feel and is supported by a state-of-the-art workshop. Keppler are authorised stockists of established new car brands HAVAL, GWM and Mahindra, and specialise in UTEs and SUVs. While new to New Zealand market, the Mahindra’s well-equipped SUVs and 4x4 UTES are popular around the globe. Kiwi farmers and weekend warriors alike are attracted to their durability and fuel efficiency. “We sell new cars and preowned European vehicles such as Audi, BMW and Land Rover. We hand-select and quality check all preowned vehicles which means they are exceptional value for money. I’m really passionate about this market which makes coming to work all the more enjoyable,” laughs Sean. “All our vehicles, new and preowned, come with our outstanding lifelong customer service.” “We are about to launch the ORA (Open, Reliable, Alternative), a fully electric premium vehicle that’s designed by Emanual Derta of Porsche and will be GWM’s hallmark electric vehicle. The Ora range offers entry priced, small-sized electric hatchbacks with modern tech and a nod to retro style. We sell very few preowned electric vehicles but the market for hybrid vehicles is strong,” says Sean. The workshop at the new premises is staffed by technicians qualified for service and repairs of the four new vehicle brands and all preowned vehicles. Keppler is a certified supplier of genuine parts and accessories for HAVAL, GWM, ORA and Mahindra and can source and install top quality tow bars, roof racks, mags and other auto accessories. At present, Keppler employ 27 staff across the business which was started in 1993 by Sean and his brother Aaron, now co-directors, and their parents, John and Cherie. “We’re locally owned and operated and strongly believe in delivering exceptional and reliable service for all the cars we sell.
