Initially I didn’t want to be part of a franchise, but the Stroud Homes system and support blew me away.” Stroud Homes has a client-centric system, fully focused on each client’s experience and making this as exciting and special as possible. Every client gets a phone call with a progress report every Friday, and milestone moments in the build are marked with little ceremonies. “Like when we pour the slab, we invite the client along to put their hand prints in the slab. We put ourselves in the client’s shoes and try to exceed their expectations.” After a challenging couple of years, with lock downs, materials and labour shortages, delays, and price increases plaguing the construction industry, Craig says Stroud Homes Auckland South is very happy to still be moving forward as though nothing has changed. “We have come through materials shortages and price increases very well because we plan very far in advance. Cost increases do have to be passed on but we have done our best for our clients by ordering early and paying early so our materials can be ordered and owned before the next price increase.” The new homes market in Auckland South is now looking good, with plenty of opportunity on the table as more land and new subdivisions are available to build on “Even with money being hard to get in the recession, there is a lot of work out there and a lot of land where people can build. I think we are not far off from having the security of knowing what the interest rates are going to be, and that they’re not going to increase much more.
