The entire team from builders to admin and management staff are all together.” BUILDING Joseph Simpkin, director at Advance Build, says the move from Awanui three years ago into purpose-built premises at Waipapa, close to Kerikeri, was a positive development for the company. “We’re now closer to the supply chain, so at a business-efficiency level it was a very good move. The entire team from builders to admin and management staff are all together,” Joseph says. Advance Build specialises in factory-built, quality transportable homes. Each home is personalised to meet the requirements of its owner, and given the homes are built in a controlled environment, several homes can be in production at any one time. With the move closer to Kerikeri, the company is now extending its reach into the Waikato; however, the bulk of projects are from Auckland north. Currently, Advance Build is busy constructing a number of Papakāinga homes. “We’re working on a number of these projects at the moment. The latest was five Papakāinga homes in the remote area of Rawhiti, Russell in the Bay of Islands. This project is nearing completion and has gone very well.” Advance Build takes care of the entire project for its customers. Its friendly, knowledgeable team provides expert guidance throughout, ensuring projects stay on track and on budget. “The team handles every step of the way, including feasibility studies, building consents, resource consents, design, construction, council approvals, code compliance certificates (CCC), infrastructure and project management,” says Joseph.
