Traditional excavation methods disrupt communities, damage existing utilities, and carry high costs. Revolve Environmental Solutions REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT In the ever-evolving landscape of asset and environmental management, Northland’s Revolve Environmental Solutions is making bold strides towards a more sustainable future and has quickly established itself as a key player in reactive infrastructure maintenance, asset management, and environmental technology. Managing director Todd Eunson, an electrician by trade and managing director of the already well-established Revolve Electrical Solutions, entered the environmental services industry after engaging with tier-one contractors and local councils north of Auckland to identify what their major pinch points were in the infrastructure and service sector. They identified asset management as a major challenge, so Todd saw an opportunity to provide cutting-edge solutions through technology-driven services such as jetting, flushing, hydro excavation and CCTV pipeline inspection. “The model of our business is to specialise in reactive infrastructure, maintenance, technology, and sustainability,” Todd says. “Northland has some of the most outdated water and sewer infrastructure in the country, with many of the networks in dire condition. One of my primary goals is to ensure that every resident has access to clean, safe drinking water. While this may sound unusual, it is a significant issue in this region.” Revolve Environmental Solutions operates as part of the broader Revolve Group, which also includes Revolve Asbestos and Revolve Electrical Solutions. Despite being a relative newcomer, the company has secured steady work with major industry players such as Downer, Fulton Hogan, United Civil, Spiral Drillers and the Whangārei District Council. For almost 20 years, Northland has had no alternative provider for environmental services. Tier-one contractors and local councils traditionally relied on TDG, an American- and Australian-owned company with a strong foothold in New Zealand and the Pacific. Recognising the gap in the market, Todd took a bold step to introduce a locally driven alternative. “The infrastructure sector is shifting towards one-stop-shop providers,” he says. “Tier-one contractors and councils prefer working with companies that can offer multiple services under one roof. That’s why we have strategically focused on areas with high demand and specialised expertise.” A significant part of Revolve’s offering is its investment in advanced technology. The company operates state-of-the-art recycling units equipped with recycling, flushing and jetting capabilities. These trucks can recycle water, significantly reducing water wastage. “If you’re not recycling water while flushing or jetting, you could be using 200,000 to 300,000 litres of water a day. “With our recycling system, we could use just 15,000 litres and recycle it throughout the day. Our customers love that sustainability aspect.” Revolve’s CCTV van is another game-changer. Powered entirely by the sun, the van eliminates the need for diesel generators or idling engines, reducing carbon emissions. This mobile unit is equipped with specialised inspection tools that can pinpoint the exact location of infrastructure defects – some as small as hairline cracks up to 150 metres underground – without the need for invasive digging. Trenchless technology is at the core of Revolve’s approach. Traditional excavation methods disrupt communities, damage existing utilities, and carry high costs. By utilising high-pressure water and precision camera systems, Revolve ensures efficient and environmentally responsible maintenance. While Revolve Environmental Solutions is still in its startup phase, the company remains committed to growth within Northland. “We’re not trying to take over the world and do everything at once. We’re focusing on what we can do here in the North. All the things I love are in Northland, everything we do and everyone we work with is here. It all comes back to where I’m from, which is Whangārei. Giving back to Northland is a big part of it.” 1389 Whangarei Heads Rds | Ph. 09 437 0077 Hannam & Co Realty Limited Licensed REA 2008 WE SELL Chris Hannam 021 55 55 99 | chris@hannamrealty.co.nz Charlie George 021 276 9996 | charlie@hannamrealty.co.nz IF YOU WANT EXCUSES, LIST WITH THEM.
