40 | Playing a key role in region Waipa Civil also holds a contract with Hamilton City Council to upgrade sewer and stormwater capacity. T T from page 38 Waipa Civil REGIONAL DEVELOPMENT Over this summer, Waipa Civil was busy replacing water mains along a section of Lake Crescent, and sewer renewals on Heaphy Terrace. Their team understands the challenges of working in busy residential streets. “We always strive to work as efficiently and as tidily as possible, so as to minimise disruption in the communities where we operate. We are just finishing our third year of this renewals contract for the council. “A lot of the underground mains in Hamilton were built using asbestos concrete in the 1960s and are now getting worn out and needing to be replaced. Larger pipes are also needed to cope with today’s greater demand,” says Daryll. Waipa Civil also holds a contract with Hamilton City Council to upgrade sewer and stormwater capacity, further underlining its role in supporting the delivery of quality regional infrastructure. As well, Waipa Civil regularly works as a subcontractor for Downer NZ, for example, delivering wastewater, water and stormwater services into the ongoing Peacocke upgrade project, (Whatukooruru section). Waipa Civil offers smart, sustainable solutions, backed with strong project-management skills, effective communication and the right tools for the job. State-of-the-art directional drilling technology enables Waipa Civil to protect the environment above ground, as well as the substrate below. The company constantly seeks out innovation to optimise results. “This year we bought two diggers with GPS capability – we now have six diggers with that capability. We have also invested in trenchless pipe-bursting technology that enables underground pipes to be replaced efficiently without making a mess.” Past projects for Waipa Civil cover a vast range, from building whole subdivisions for various land developers to constructing a 16km, 50mm pipeline between Cambridge and Te Awamutu for the Waipa District Council. Waipa Civil’s team responds promptly to emergency works call-outs, such as for water-main issues and wastewater repairs, and is adept at meeting tight timelines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ÀF JURXQGZDWHU DGYLFH 6PDOO WR ODUJH VFDOH LUULJDWLRQ WDNHV /RQJ WHUP TXDUU\ GHZDWHULQJ 2Q VLWH JURXQGZDWHU DVVHVVPHQWV ,QYHVWLJDWLRQV DQG SXPS WHVWLQJ +\GURJHRORJ\ *HRWHFKQLFDO (QJLQHHULQJ *UHHQ7HFK (QJLQHHULQJ CCTV Pipe Inspections Hydro-Excavation Drain & Pit Unblocking Root Cutting Liquid Waste Removal 021 929 706 adm n@hydroetconz wwwhydroetconz Hydro-excavat on serv ces for the greater Wa kato reg on
