CONSTRUCTION A.G.A Construction T T Karen Phelps “Our work on multiple projects for Ryman Healthcare demonstrates the high quality we consistently deliver within the client’s required time frame.” From its beginnings in 2017, A.G.A Construction has quickly grown to become a significant player in Auckland’s construction sector with multiple high-profile projects currently underway across the region. The company is making significant progress on Ryman Healthcare’s Keith Park Retirement Village in Hobsonville, Auckland, where it has already completed work on five apartment blocks containing between 24 and 40 units each. Its success on this project has led to additional contracts for two more stages. The Keith Park Retirement Village project is A.G.A Construction’s third for Ryman Healthcare, demonstrating the strong working relationship that has developed between the two companies. The relationship with Ryman Healthcare began when the company undertook concrete structure and external carpentry work on an eight-unit apartment block at the Logan Campbell Village in Greenlane. This success led to an 18-month project at the Linda Jones Retirement Village in Hamilton, where it completed work on the care centre building. “Our work on multiple projects for Ryman Healthcare demonstrates the high quality we consistently deliver within the client’s required time frame,” says Albert Alapaki, owner of A.G.A Construction. The company is also currently working on a high-end, four-storey apartment block at Shelley Beach for GN Construction, focusing on concrete structure work. It is also undertaking concrete structure work for a radiology centre in Albany for Argon Construction, featuring all in-situ construction. As well, the company is handling the steel stud and internal fit-out for the DoubleTree Hilton refurbishment. Albert attributes the company’s rapid growth since its establishment to its commitment to quality and comprehensive service offering. It specialises in concrete structural formwork (both concrete placement and precast panel installation), along with timber and fit-out work, tackling projects ranging from retirement villages and commercial buildings to apartment complexes. Albert says his team’s skill in preconstruction planning and development, which he considers crucial for project success, has been another factor in the company’s growth. “We’re a young, enthusiastic team with a great culture. We all operate as a close-knit team,” explains Albert, who personally takes on the project-management role for each job to maintain quality standards. “Our broad scope of construction management expertise enables us to work closely with our clients to achieve outstanding results. “We pride ourselves on our time management and our ability to achieve a high-quality finish every time.” Albert, a qualified builder with approximately 15 years of experience, has ensured the company has achieved several important industry certifications. It is now a Qualified BCITO Professional, training apprentices to ensure the next generation of skilled builders. The company has also secured Amotai Registration, connecting it with government, corporate and iwi organisations to unlock procurement opportunities for Māori and Pasifika businesses. It also holds SiteWise Green Certification. Operating primarily in Auckland and Hamilton, A.G.A Construction aims to continue to build on its reputation for delivering high-quality work within required time frames. “We have a great team and are proud to be able to offer our services to the Auckland region.” Proud to be supplying our concrete to AGA Construction 0800 800 611 | stevenson.co.nz
