Alvarium: Mangawhai Central DEVELOPMENT Locals may have noticed that Mangawhai Central is back under development, this time through a partnership between locally owned wealth management firm Alvarium and a number of its investors. The 116-hectare greenfield site, located between Mangawhai and Mangawhai Heads, will provide about 770 new homes for young families, retirees, and second-home buyers wishing to live within convenient proximity to Auckland while embracing all that Mangawhai has to offer. With sections now selling from $370,000, Mangawhai Central will connect its residents with local amenities and world-class beaches, a network of green spaces, parks, walking and cycling tracks, and even a jetty. “Mangawhai is a fantastic place to live, especially if you love relaxed coastal living,” says Alvarium head of real estate Shane Scott. “It’s a safe and friendly community that is growing, but still has the small-town feel. Strong design guidelines will be imposed on the diverse range of homes constructed at Mangawhai Central to ensure high-quality construction, and a seascape-style theme complementary to the surrounding environment.
