The family name has been synonymous with development since 1938, when Keith Hay established Keith Hay Homes at age 21. The company’s evolution into industrial property development in the 1980s contributed to the formation of Jargonel, which continues to shape New Zealand’s retail and industrial landscape. A ‘jargonel’ is an early-ripening pear. The word jargonel also happens to contain the first letter of each of Andrew’s family members’ names. Andrew says the transformation of 6 Carr Rd also reflects Jargonel’s broader vision for its portfolio. “Our portfolio consists of some older commercial and industrial buildings.
