Arvida took over the existing retirement village in 2016 and completed a 25-unit apartment development at 792 Beach Road to complement an existing nine-unit apartment development at 790 Beach Road. While that build was progressing a masterplan was put together to redevelop the existing 1980s resthome into a modern care suite facility. Stage one reduced the size of the existing resthome while 59 care suites were developed along with a basement car park. Stage two saw the demolition of the old resthome and will see 57 independent living apartments built along with an administration and other amenity associated areas. A link bridge connects 790 and 792 Beach Road together into the back of the apartment building resulting in a fully integrated retirement village.
