Our lovely raised gardens and surrounding bush attract an abundance of native birds, and the golden sands of Browns Bay Beach are the perfect distance for a pre-breakfast or after dinner walk.” He says that as an Arvida community at Aria Bay there is a constantly drive to make residents’ lives better with everything that is done “We take great care and make the time to listen, so we can help residents to enjoy the things they love. We constantly hear that Aria Bay is an especially friendly inclusive community and our carers become close friends, and are very attentive and helpful. At Aria Bay it always feels like home.” Browns Bay - An historic location Residents of Aria Bay will have plenty to explore. Browns Bay is today home to around 4000 people and the popular Auckland suburb got its name from the Brown family who from their farm in Mt Albert to Browns Bay on a sailing cutter in September 1876. The Browns – Peter and Mary - initially purchased 136 acres of flat land had their work cut out for them removing native plants and trees to turn it into farmland. In the 1900’s when holidaymakers began to travel to Browns Bay the Browns provided accommodation at their home where they also operated the area’s first local store and postal service. In 1916 they decided to subdivide their land and the local population grew and Browns Bay’s transport, shops and other facilities sprung up such as churches, school and clubs. When the Auckland Harbour Bridge was completed in the 1950s Browns Bay transformed from holiday destination to suburb. People can find out more about the history of Browns Bay via a heritage trail containing 27 historical sites. “Browns Bay is really going ahead,” says Arvida Aria Bay development manager Justin Marshall. “There’s been a lot of investment and redevelopment there. It’s a popular beach and a great place to live.” Loving Copper Crest - page 42 INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS QUALITY DELIVERABLES www.buildbim.co.nz DIGITAL ENGINEERING &ADVICE BIM MANAGEMENT & COORDINATION CONSTRUCTION MODELLING& DOCUMENTATION DIGITAL ASSET & FAMILY CREATION SCAFFOLDING | SHRINK WRAP MOBILE TOWERS | PORTALOOS FENCING | PROPPING | NETTING 0800 666 468 | www.affordablescaffolding.co.nz Proud to support Arvida Group Ltd - Aria Bay DELIVERING EXCEPTIONAL CLIENT SOLUTIONS b b d . c o . n z www.macelandscapes.co.nz hello@macelandscapes.co.nz 09 294 8332 Creating award-winning environments for over 45 years Proud to have supported Arvida Group through the Aria Bay Retirement Village project Contact us today to discuss your next project and find out more about our complete landscaping services
