The play equipment is still to go in, but it’s a fantastic park and will become a hub of the community with fruit trees growing in it. “In total the Master Plan allows for six to seven parks and reserves in the subdivision, to be progressively developed as the various stages are completed. We also hope to be able to build a walking/biking track across the gully to Cameron Road.” The master plan also allows for a commercial precinct, with plans to include a child care centre as the anchor tenant. The child care centre is expected to be completed in two years’ time, followed by a dairy and café. The project will be completed over eleven stages, with house and land packages available exclusively from Flowerday Homes. “The subdivision will have very wide appeal, but we’re targeting those first home buyers, young families, upgraders, and I know some packages have been bought by empty nesters. “So, there will be a good cross section of people in the community. We have house and land packages starting from $679,000 for three-bedroom homes with one bathroom and a separate WC.” To date we have 71 titled sections delivered, with fifty-three houses in Stage One currently under construction, and a number of new home owners already moved in. “We have cleared the orchard on 69 Whitehead and we will start earthworks in September. There are 120 lots in that one. When the development will be complete will depend on market uptake. It’s a multi-year project.” Based in Mount Maunganui, Flowerday Homes won the Deloitte Fast 50 in 2017 for the fastest growing company in New Zealand. Rik says the company’s success comes down to the passion, drive, and delivery of a very high-quality product. “We are proud to deliver a quality product and are very happy with how the development is coming along.” • Te Mania has a showhome which is open to the public on Sunday’s from 12pm to 3pm and on Tuesday’s, Wednesday’s and Thursday’s from 11am to 3pm.
