Gardner Franklin franchise. Originally the area came under the governance of a larger G.J. Gardner franchise but growth in the South Auckland region has necessitated a local presence making it the 32nd franchise in the country, say G.J. Gardner Franklin franchise owners Grant and Anna Robinson. “It’s about investing locally and being closer to our customers,” says Grant. Located at 135 Manukau Road, Pukekohe, G.J. Gardner Franklin has employed locally adding to its strong team. The Robinsons say they are focused on the growth and development of their people, which includes around 25 staff, in order to best serve their customers. The experience of Grant, who has a finance degree, professional cricket background, has led teams in corporate banking during the GFC and has experience operating a variety of small businesses, will assist this. Grant heads the sales and construction aspects of G.J. Gardner Franklin with former hockey Black Sticks team member Casey Henwood leading the operations team. Grant’s wife Anna is a dentist and has an interior design background. Together the Robinsons have renovated and built a number of homes for themselves and so bring a great deal of personal construction experience, attention to detail and design skills to the franchise. Grant says that because each G.J. Gardner franchise is locally owned and operated this allows customers to have the best of both worlds dealing with a national brand and having direct access to the owner of the business who is responsible for building their home. G.J. Gardner Franklin offers a range of plans that can be used for inspiration or adjusted to suit individual needs, as well as a full design and build options. He says that G.J. Gardner Franklin is built around quality and customer satisfaction. “We understand that our customers have unique requirements when building a home. By working closely with them, we can design and build a home that suits them, their lifestyle, needs and budget. “As quality is paramount each home is built using only quality products and workmanship. We offer true value for money using the best products that are well known to New Zealanders and are tried and tested. Our vision is to have every customer recommend us to their closest friend. Everything we do revolves around trying to achieve this.” G.J. Gardner Franklin is offering a range of house and land packages in a number of key subdivisions in including Paerata Rise, Pokeno Village Estate, Reynolds Green Pukekohe, Patumahoe Hill, Constable Road & Hamilton Drive Waiuku, Kahawai Point, Glenbrook Beach and Onewhero. The offering ranges from entry level to top end housing to coastal to lifestyle sections. House and land packages are turnkey and purchase is on completion with a 10% deposit. Grant says G.J. Gardner has been building in developments such as Pokeno Village Estate since 1997 supporting the growth of our area in the process. “This development in particular is located in a strategic growth junction for greater Auckland due to the split of motorways leading to Hamilton, Tauranga and Auckland. Currently the population of Pokeno is around 6-7000 but it’s predicted to soar up to 25,000 in the coming decades.” G.J. Gardner Franklin is in the process of building a new multi million dollar show home in Paerata Rise, due to open in October. The two storey, 321sqm weatherboard home is ‘Hamptons’ style and will offer four bedrooms, two bathrooms and a double garage. It will include a ducted heat pump system and climate control throughout the house, a scullery, study nook for home office living and two master suites on separate levels for dual family living. “We build a lot of lifestyle and rural properties so the intention is that this new show home will demonstrate our ability to build large rural homes in the Franklin area.” To celebrate the establishment of G.J. Gardner Franklin a series of events is being planned for July to help the franchise connect to the local community. On July 17 a free barbeque and coffee cart will be held for the community and on July 6 and 7 events will be held for local businesses, customers, subcontractors and suppliers. Grant says that G.J. Gardner Franklin also plans to actively support local sports groups, particularly those associated with schools to support the uptake of physical activity for broader benefits like connected communities and well being by staying social and active through sport. “At G.J. Gardner Franklin we want to have a long lasting impact on the community in addition to bricks and mortar.”
