| 91 BUILDING Zeal Home and Renovation The exterior of the Papamoa beach house is clad in horizontal weatherboard with box corners in New Zealand colonial style. Below, Brad McNamara. board with box corners in New Zealand colonial style, complemented with feature elements of corrugated colour steel for ease of maintenance and durability in the coastal climate. The Shaker kitchen features a high level of traditional craftsmanship with a simple yet elegant rural influence that includes tongue and groove panels, framed cupboard and cabinet doors and antique style hardware. A technical aspect of the build was the need to cut into the existing structure and “thread in” a new structural steel frame to support the new floors and mezzanine roof. Started last December, the house is expected to be completed mid-July. Brad says the company works with trusted key subtrades over multiple projects to ensure it can consistently offer the best service and receive the same. Rather than competing in the mass housing market, Zeal Home and Renovation sets its focus on bespoke, high end residential renovations that require strong attention to detail and skill from its small, dedicated team. “I want to give our builders jobs that they want to get out of bed for in the morning. Guys with a top attitude are really valuable in a small team like ours. “We really focus on delivering a higher quality product for our clients, rather than the cookie cutter homes.” “We start when we say we are going to start, we finish when we say we are going to finish, and we stick to our budgets. “I think that if you can deliver those things, then you can walk away with a happy client; that’s a key indicator of a successful project to me.” WINDOWS & DOORS Mt Maunganui | 07 575 5074 • Aluminum windows & doors • Replacement joinery • Free quoting service • Metro Series • Architectural Series • Thermal Heart Email: sales@epicwindows.co.nz 45 Newton Street
