T T Sue Russell The opportunity to bring A1 Homes to the Far North came at the right time for both Mark Russell and Phil Kitchen. Having spent the previous 10 years working as Project Managers for A1 Homes Northland, they were both ready to take the next step in their careers. “Having worked closely with the A1 Homes brand for so many years, we understood the business, its values and what it takes to deliver successful projects and the Far North certainly represented an exciting opportunity, as it was largely an untapped region for A1 Homes’ full build offering. Phil starting his career on the tools, completing his building apprenticeship while working on A1 Homes projects, while Mark studied a Diploma in Architectural Technology at Auckland’s Unitec before spending about a decade as a draftsman for a housing company and an architectural studio.
