These wins come hot on the heels of D&H’s success at the 2021 SCNZ Awards, in which D&H came out on top of two categories: Under $0.5m (Waiouru Point warehouse project) and Over $3m (Sylvia Park Galleria redevelopment). Along with recognition for Wayne Carson, D&H go-getter Kelly Jeffries received the 2021 SCNZ Young Achiever of the Year. As D&H heads into its next 50 years, the challenge of environmental sustainability in construction is being proactively faced. “We are proud to have received Enviromark Gold accreditation after a rigorous 12-month process,” says D&H Steel CWB Manager John Frederickson, who notes that many projects today require Green Star certification. Adding to its Enviromark Gold status, D&H sources steel from responsible steel manufacturers and is a chartered member of the Sustainable Steel Council.
