Partner Charlotte Martin is also a company director and office manager. Her focus is on ensuring that clients receive excellent service and architectural design advice. She also creates a professional office environment where clients feel relaxed and comfortable discussing their design dreams. Aaron’s positivity about the district’s growth is palpable. He notes the rise in subdivision work happening, calling it an exciting time for Waipa. “The councils are opening up growth cells to meet the need for housing,” he says. “Waipa’s appeal lies in its affordability compared to some larger centres, drawing people with its sporting amenities, outdoor opportunities, and the promise of work-life balance. The district’s population is expected to surge by 2050, with an anticipated addition of 25,000 people, positioning Waipa as a thriving hub in the region.” Aaron says that areas such as Waihi Beach are also surging in popularity due to its proximity to major centres and ease of access. “There are older seafront homes at Waihi Beach that people are removing and replacing with new builds. We are currently undertaking a large-scale renovation project there and have recently completed a large contemporary home on a challenging, sloping site.
