With a signi icant market share, core customer sectors are threefold: Laboratories including research labs at universities, testing labs, and private laboratories; School Laboratories; and Medical Laboratories including hospitals, clinics and NZ Blood Service. “NZ blood Service has itted out ive or six laboratories in the last three to four years and we’ve undertaken all of those projects, including the one in the Highbrook Business Park, where we supplied all the bespoke laboratory benching and joinery.” The diverse range of furniture includes lab benching complete with sinks, tapware and services; eyewashes and emergency showers; bespoke joinery units like drawer units, pantries and storage units. “We design, manufacture and install bespoke ixed and loose laboratory furniture in response to a client’s requirements. We market to the speci iers in New Zealand including specialist laboratory design architects, so that materials like ours are speci ied in a new project. A key point of di erence between Novalab Systems and most other joinery companies in New Zealand is that we work with a product called Compact Laminate in the manufacture of all of our benchtops and joinery. There’s no timber, MDF and no ibre board. Compact Laminate is a homogenous sheet material that performs with exceptional wear, impact and abrasion properties. It’s very clean, has antimicrobial properties, doesn’t require PVC edges, and there is no glue involved.” Novalab Systems’ team includes experience and expertise in architectural design, project management, quality surveying, CNC operators, and joinery fabricators, ensuring quality and service remains irst and foremost in every project undertaken. “By nature, a modern laboratory is a very lexible space, because new equipment will be added as it comes to market. There are occasions when the client requests changes to it new equipment, and we will be there the following day and give them a bespoke service to adapt or supply additional elements.”
